Carsten Körnig, Managing Director, Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e. V.

Carsten Körnig has been managing director of BSW (German Solar Association), the lobby group for the solar technology and solar storage industry in Berlin, Germany, since the beginning of 2006. Previously, he held the position of managing director of the Unternehmensvereinigung Solarwirtschaft (UVS) for nine years. Since 2006, Carsten Körnig has also been Vice President of the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE).

Thomas Seltmann, Solar Technology & Storage Officer, Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e. V.

Thomas Seltmann has been working as a Solar Technology & Storage Officer at the German Solar Association since 2022. Prior to that, he was a Photovoltaics and Prosumers Officer at the Verbraucherzentrale NRW and has held various positions in the solar industry for more than thirty years, for example as a lecturer and book author.

Christian Menke, Policy and Solar Technology Officer, Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e. V.

As a policy and solar technology officer at the German Solar Industry Association, Christian Menke has been focusing on photovoltaic topics since December 2019. Previously, he spent almost three years as a consultant at the Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft e. V. (German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses), where he was responsible for topics including energy policy and sustainability. After completing his B.A. studies in political science and economics at the University of Göttingen, he earned his master's degree in political science at Freie Universität Berlin.

Dr. Steffen Herz, Laywer and partner, von Bredow Valentin Herz Rechtsanwälte

Dr. Steffen Herz is a lawyer and partner at von Bredow Valentin Herz Rechtsanwälte in Berlin. His main areas of advice include support for PV projects, decentralized energy and mobility concepts, and energy trading. In addition to his work as a lawyer, he has published numerous articles on energy law and regularly gives lectures.

Benedikt Fischer, Solar Technology & Law Officer, Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e. V.

Benedikt Fischer has been working as a Solar Technology & Legal Officer at the German Solar Association since May 2023 and is currently a lecturer for renewable energies at the University of Applied Sciences - Berlin (HTW). Previously, he worked in system planning and assembly at Solarwerkstatt Berlin and as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems and the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (ifeu).
